Our first year long stay in France was in 2002-2003 when our sons were 6, 8, and 10 and we had rented a furnished small home in the small Languedoc town of Capestand. As luck would have it, the house was falling apart; dusty, crumbling walls, and furnishings from an overpriced yard sale. Whew! I set about finding a new dwelling and eventually discovered a home for sale in a nearby village.
Here, we stumbled upon a hidden treasure in the Roman village of Montouliers- La Placette or "the little place". With the glorious weather and history of the Midi, and its reputation as an unspoiled corner of France, I made the decision to launch French Property Shares and to allow others to experience the joy of shared ownership.
I now research and buy wonderful unique old properties all over France in order to provide a home base for people who love the idea of their own property but prefer to share the on-going expenses among 6 or more members. My experience in searching for homes which "sing" to me, is that they are very hard to find. When I do discover one, I jump! It is a leap of faith which is sure to delight and enrich you... we've been there!
